Mouth of the Mississippi ©McEntoonz Music They put me on a plane, Utah bound But no one ever told me so Everybody's been real nice everywhere i go Ain't no use for me to go back now There ain't nothing left for me I can't live on the on the mouth of the Mississippi Glad you could make it Mr. President Sweating in the noonday sun Got your sleeves rolled up And a blue collar shirt on Hey'o Mr. Mayor And the governors and senators around Everybody's got someone to blame Even Michael Brown Oh Katy, got a sister gonna make her look sweet And I won't be there to kiss her on the lips On the mouth of the Mississippi First thing you do when you get back home Down to new orleans Better buy you a ticket out and keep it in your jeans Don't be waitng for the coast guard To swing low and chopper you out Don't think the government will get you up to higher ground Oh Katy, upside the head, I ain't going back down To the mouth of the Mississippi Oh Katy, got a sister gonna make her look sweet And I won't be there to kiss her on the lips on the mouth of the Mississippi

From The North ©McEntoonz Music So I blindly go forth, to the western plains I'm driving from the north Through a land so divided fifty fifty like we are today I keep a little corner in my heart, somewhere I can get a fire to start Safe for you, safe for me, safe from all the bitterness I see I'm driving from the north...... Leaving the green green grass of home Going out where the big trucks roam red state, blue state, Mason-Dixon I almost miss Richard Nixon now Bad news gonna take a back seat Dashboard Jesus bless my dirty feet May I walk in understanding Let me stumble understanding that I'm blind I'm driving from the north.....

Downhill Back Home ©McEntoonz Music Most times it starts for me, but sometimes it don't Some nights I got trouble getting home, but tonight I won't It's alright, it's a little beat up But it gets me through when the getting is tough She rolls alright, least when it's all downhill back home Can't tell if it's running outta gas, but it hasn't happened yet You gotta keep your eyes on the road, 'cause it pulls to the left It's gotta be alright, it's all that I got It's a '65 and it runs a little hot But it rolls alright, at least when it's all downhill back home It don't look like much but it used to be cool in it's day At least I thought so in a way, back in the day I know why I go on with a car that I should give away The one that we drove from ny to la Yeah I know they laugh at me, but I don't care Gonna drive it forever I guess cause it's all that we share anymore It's alright it's a little beat up But it gets me through when the gettin is tough She rolls alright, at least when it's all downhill back home It's alright if you got good gas It's a lotta fun , and it's a pain in the ass But it rolls alright, now that it's all downhill back home

Lonely Love 03:04
Lonely Love ©McEntoonz Music You say you and me are like oil and water A father's son and a mother's daughter With a lonely love, got a lonely love You see red, and I see blue Wins the purple heart, for me and you It's a lonely love, got a lonely love You and me we took our chances Took our time to see how strange romance is It's a lonely love Standin' around quiet as mouses Got two cars got two houses, that's a good thing Ever since the world began, there been some mystery 'Tween the woman and the man It's a lonely love, yeah, it's a lonely love Don't know why we'll fuss and fight Now I'm driving home on a rainy night With a lonely love, got a lonely love

Brand New Years Waltz ©McEntoonz Music A week after Christmas, I'm looking ahead Say goodbye to the old year, greet the new one instead Farewell the departed, and welcome our new friends I'm watching the world, spinning 'round again Watching the big ball fall down again Another year hits the ground again Got no resolutions, no crown of thorns on my head Got no rosy illusions, no dark feeling of dread I'm watching the world, spinning 'round again Watching the big ball fall down again Another year hits the ground again I've got my hopes, I've my got fears But lately I feel lucky just to see another year We're watching the world, spinning 'round again We're watching the big ball fall down again Another year hits the ground again We're watching the world, spinning 'round again Watching the world, spinning 'round again

A Soldier of The Great War ©McEntoonz Music In a nursing home back in my home town Lay a veteran doughboy with no one around 'Cept me, just leaving he waved me in and spoke these words to my ear He said: d'you know that monument standing in the middle of town? The one that everyone ignores as they drive around?" There is carved the names of my brothers, surname 'Brown' Soldiers of the great war Surely my name should be among the fallen, surely my life began and ended there The trouble is now, no one remembers.....a Soldier of the Great War I remember flags were wavin', red, white and blue, in o' '17 A sweet morning in June, the girls blew us kisses, never too soon For the heroes of the great warWe all signed up, my brothers and me, to go fight the Hun and Germany I don't know what we expected but it ain't what we got In preparation for the great war Over there, the yanks are coming, Over there we'll straighten the whole mess out We were fighting for the betterment of all mankind....Soldiers of the Great War It was early October, early one morn, the mortars opened up Like never before, when the gas rolled in, men cursed the day they were born And died crying for their mama I watched a shell hit my brothers on the ground that they stood I panicked and I ran fast as my legs would And I never stopped running, never thought i could A soldier of the great war We believed it a just war to end all others Who among us could refuse that call? American boys dying for crown and Kaiser, soldiers of the great war And of the brothers brown, slept the only survivor a Soldier of the Great War

The Coin of the Realm ©McEntoonz Music A golden coin, in my hand, of Napoleon, minted 1812 That year the Russian winter drove him down Exiled, he lost all that he held And I'm holding, the Coin of the Realm Alexander with his armies He couldn't take it, and hold it I guess that's how every empire falls You can bring a horse to water But you can't make him love democracy Oh the blood and treasure overwhelm All to capture the coin of the realm These days I wonder if, in two hundred years Someone will ponder The coinage, the folly and arrogance of my times If you choose to kill a man Bring a bullet for his brother Who's at the helm? All to capture, the Coin of the Realm Black is the color of the Coin of the Realm

Holding out Hope ©McEntoonz Music If a bird with broken wing can rise up and fly away If a lost dog walks a thousand miles back home Then why's it hard for you to accept, we've been lied to? That the truth comes out, I'm holding out hope Where are the men who brought this fate upon us now? Hiding in their pensioned estates Oh that justice might be done, someday in America Until then we'll just have to cope That the day comes soon, I'm holding out hope Stand up stand up and witness what's before you Know 'em by their deeds, and not their words And then watch 'em walk away, like nothing ever happened They'll hang themselves given the rope That they don't hang us first, I'm holding out hope

Reaching You 04:38
Reaching You ©McEntoonz Music I think I see a light ahead, from a beautiful view Or maybe I'm imagining, what I'd like to be true 'Cause I think I see alot of things only some of them are true But I know I found myself, when I was Reaching You I'm gonna know myself someday, then what will I do? If I still feel like a stranger here, just passing through On a road that stretches in front of us Underneath the sky of blue I know I'll find my foosteps Reaching You It's bittersweet and precious, love by any name Make a man reckless, make a woman change her name But the trials and the troubles and the tribulations Fall from view When I look back, I'll remember, Reaching You On a road, that's wide enough for one or two I found myself, by accident Reaching You
